Copenator - Child of God, Husband, Writer
Child of God. What does all of that encompass? What are all of the ramifications in that? What does it mean? When I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins at the age of 40, He was faithful and just to forgive me. Since then there has been a joy that surpasses all circumstances. Sure, I'll still get down, depressed, and out of sorts. But in the end I know that Jesus is my Savior and that I am not alone in any situation that arises.
This means that I am a joint heir in the Kingdom of God. The future after this life for me is an eternity in heaven doing the service that the Lord has for me to do for all eternity. Those who cannot call themselves children of God will find the opposite fate awaiting them, where it's a little hotter and noisy from all the weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth going on in hell.
Husband: God has granted me the wisdom to realize that Rhonda is the light of my life here on this earth, second only to Jesus my Lord and Savior. One cannot describe the relationship between a husband and a wife in any number of books. Things are just so fluid and yet consistent at the same time. So mystifying on one end and clarifying on the other end of the scale. The beginning and the end of every day is met by the two of them at each turn. The tie that binds? Not the ring, not the love life, not the holding of hands, not the arguing and making up. It's all of those and yet just a little part of the puzzle that is marriage. So suffice it to say this: "I'm married to Rhonda. She is my wife, my friend, my love, and above else my fellow sister in the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. She is my inspiration in much of my writing, and even the one who suggests ever so slightly the one word that just makes the whole story hang like a painting on the wall.
Suffice it to say that without Rhonda, I am but half of the man I would be. Happy 23rd anniversary Rhonda on this the day we celebrate as Jesus' birthday.
